Pets are not quite common amongst Cambodian, they’re considered to be unclean and tend to cause damages to the furniture/ unit. That, not more than 20% of the apartments/ condominiums in Phnom Penh are pet friendly. There are 3 types of pet-friendly condition in Cambodia.
1. cat-friendly 2. cat & dog friendly 3. small cat & dog friendly  .

If you are a future tenant, you should be aware that apartments/ condominiums that accept pets are rare and likely to be more high-priced. In case, you have more than 1 pet (especially dog), link houses/ gated community villas are recommended since it offer more open space like garden, public area and most of the landlords do not mind it, however you are still held accountable for any damages caused.
